AHWS started working with our partner, Minority Rights Seva Foundation (MRSF) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan in 2014. The chief objective that has been established is serving disadvantaged and underprivileged individuals and groups from all faiths.
Achievements: (2014-present)
1) Organizes interfaith programs for Krishna Janmasthami, Diwali, Eid, Christmas and Easter with the distribution of food packages for needy families (usually between 27-50); celebrations are opened to all faiths from (2015 to 2020)
2) Supported school tuition fees for 40 school children (Hindus, Muslims, Christians) from most disadvantaged and poorest families (2015 onwards)
3) Establishment of Women's Empowerment Center in 2015 with girls and women empowered with learning stitching and sewing skills
Current Projects: (2014-cont.)
1) Interfaith food donations for very poor families in Rawalpindi and surrounding vicinities, and the town of Naushera
2) Continued support to Women’s Empowerment Center
3) Continued promotion of interfaith harmony and dialogue with local Hindu temples, mosques, gurudwaras, and churches around Pakistan
4) Continued support towards tuition fees for schoolchildren
